Ground Rules

Home team will have the first base dugout with the hitting cage.

The visiting team may use the hitting cage prior to first pitch of their half of every inning, the home team may use the hitting cage prior to first pitch of their half of every inning. The hitting cage should not be used during play.

  • Balls hit onto or over the path in the outfield on a fly are home runs.
    While temporary field-light construction fencing remains, anything hit over those fences are home runs. Any ball rolling under or stuck in that fencing is a ground rule double.
  • Balls hit that roll onto the path to the right of the school’s smokestack in centerfield are ground rule doubles.
  • Balls hit that roll onto the path to the left of the school’s smokestack in centerfield path-light post are ground rule home-runs.
  • Aligned with the smokestack, along the walking path is a light post which may be used as a guide.

In-play is considered from the last fence post extended to the tree-line
